Major changes in Development Funding and Affiliation Fees 2010-2011
Club Vision funding has been discontinued. However, most Clubs will benefit in 2010-2011 from new affiliation requirements.
2009-2010 was the last year where affiliation fees were based on membership numbers. As from 2010-2011 affiliation is based on the number of courts that a Club has. According to our calculations this will significantly benefit most Clubs in the District. For example, a 3 court club with 100 members would have paid approximately £1300.0 in affiliation fees, but will now pay £450.0. This example is based on £100 per court for the Tennis Scotland / LTA affiliation fee, and £50.0 per all year court for the District Fee.
Note that the District will only charge £25.0 for blaes courts, but there is no equivalent discount in the Tennis Scotland /LTA fee.
Tennis Scotland expect the savings to be ploughed back into the type of development activities formerly funded through Club Vision.
